Low hands must have 5 differently numbered cards to rank as a winning poker hand. Suits and ranked runs like Flushes and Straights, don’t count when ranking low hands. That means low hands can be both the lowest and highest hand. Aces are the highest card in high hand ranks and the lowest card in low hand ranks.
5, 4, 3, 2 and Ace.
Tied hand: This is the lowest possible low hand. If there are 2 or more 5-High hands, the pot is split.

5 differently numbered cards with the highest card being a 6.
Tied hand: If there are 2 or more 6-High hands, the lower of the second-ranking cards wins. Look to the third, fourth and fifth highest ranked cards when needed. If the hands rank the same, the pot is split.

5 uniquely ranked cards with the highest card being a 7.
Tied hand: If there are 2 or more 7-High hands, the lower second ranking card wins. The third, fourth and fifth highest ranked cards are used when necessary. If the hands rank the same, the pot is split.

5 uniquely ranked cards with the highest card being an 8.
8, 7, 6, 5, 4 is the lowest of the low ranking hands.
Tied hand: If there are 2 or more 8-High hands, the lower second ranking card wins. If you need to, look to the third, fourth and fifth highest-ranked cards. If the hands rank the same, the pot is split.
